Hunter Douglas window fashion products are covered for defects in materials, workmanship or failure to operate for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product (unless shorter periods are provided below) this includes fabric delaminating, all internal mechanisms, components and brackets. Repairs and/or replacements will be made with like or similar parts or products.

  • All Operational cords - 7 years from purchase date

  • Hunter Douglas motorization components - 5 years from purchase date

  • Any conditions caused by normal wear and tear - NOT COVERED

  • Abuse, accidents, misuse or alterations to the product - NOT COVERED

  • Exposure to the elements and discoloration or fading over time on certain products – NOT COVERED

  • Shipping charges, cost of removal and reinstallation – NOT COVERED

Extended Warranty

  • 2 Years ($250)

  • When purchased, applies to any items sold and installed by DWF or any of its subsidiaries

  • No charge for service calls or install issues

  • Shipping Fees and Repair Charges covered up to $100

  • Battery Replacement covered – batteries not included

DWF Warranty

  • 2 Years

  • Applies to any items sold and installed by DWF or any of its subsidiaries

  • No charge for service calls or install issues

  • Shipping Fees and Repair Charges may still apply

  • Does not include trips to change batteries

DWF Workroom Warranty

  • 2 Years

  • Applies to any custom job from the DWF workroom

  • No charge for repairs or service on any DWF custom job

  • Does not cover replacement fabric, or issues caused by external factors

DWF Service Warranty

  • 6 Months

  • Applies to any repairs made on a paid service call

  • We cannot guarantee service warranty on products over 7 years old 

HD Repair Shipping Policy

Hunter Douglas covers the cost of shipping for any product that must be sent back for a repair for 1 YEAR after the original purchase. Sometimes, they will cover up to 18 months. After that, the shipping cost will be determined by the size of the PACKAGE using the following criteria. As a general rule, add 8” to the size of the shade to determine the size of the package.
